About Fusion
LSU Honors Creative Writing Club
Affiliated with the LSU Ogden Honors College, Fusion is an innovative and close-knit creative writing club. Membership is open to all honors college members. Weekly meetings are held at the French House, during which members write and share their creations!

Meet the Crew
Amy Ruckman - President
Amy was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is a senior at LSU, studying English with concentrations in creative writing and literature. Amy has been writing on her own time since she was 12, and her favorite genres include fantasy, magical realism, and queer literature.
Adam Richards - Vice President
Adam is a Michigan native but came to LSU to pursue a career in sports administration. English quickly stole his heart, and now he majors in it with a concentration in secondary education and a minor in Español. Always a lover of compelling stories and beautiful things, Adam's passion found its way to creative writing when he first attended Fusion his freshman year!
Jacob Eugene - Secretary
Rhys Borders - Co Treasurer
Rhys was born in Massachusetts but was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a junior at LSU, studying anthropology with a focus on linguistics and a minor in communication studies. Rhys began writing creatively when he started college, and his favorite genres include fantasy, academic, and realistic fiction.
Lilia Lopez - Co Treasurer
Lilia was born and raised in La Ceiba, Honduras. She is currently a sophomore majoring in Chemistry with a minor in English. Lilia has loved literature since she was young and is prone to analyze every syllable in a sentence. Since high school, she began writing creatively—always using plenty of imagery and never missing a chance at using an extended metaphor.
Isabel Willems - Webmaster
Isabel hails from Mandeville, Louisiana, although she's lived all over the country. She is a communication studies and Spanish double major with a minor in criminology. She's been writing creatively since she was seven years old, although she'd like to think her work has improved considerably since then.
Noah McKinney - Journal Officer
Noah is originally from Calgary, Alberta, but he graduated high school in Houston, Texas. He is a senior at LSU, and his majors are History and English with a concentration in Creative Writing. He began writing short stories and poetry when he was very young, likes to read in trees, and is passionate about both fantasy and horror genre fiction.
